About Alsea Falls Campground

What sets Alsea Falls Campground apart is the tranquil immersion it offers amid the towering Douglas fir and western red cedar trees of the Oregon Coast Range, paired with the experience of two breathtaking waterfalls—Alsea Falls and Green Peak Falls—accessible from scenic trails. This serene camping destination is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to stunning hikes, mountain biking trails, and refreshing river views.

Located 13 miles west of Monroe, Oregon, along the South Fork Alsea River, this Bureau of Land Management site features 21 campsites equipped with drinking water, fire rings, and vault toilets. The campsites, which accommodate both tent campers and RVs up to 32 feet, strike a balance between privacy and convenience. A short walk leads to the cascading 30-foot Alsea Falls, while nearby trailheads also provide access to the 45-foot Green Peak Falls and over 12 miles of mountain biking routes at the Fall Creek Day-Use Trailhead.

Just a short drive from the town of Alsea, the campground's prime location positions visitors close to fishing opportunities on the South Fork Alsea River, the Alsea Trout Hatchery, and scenic picnic spots. Whether for a weekend getaway or a longer spell in the outdoors, Alsea Falls Campground offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities for all types of campers.
