About Antelope Campground
Isolated in the tranquility of the Boise National Forest, Antelope Campground offers a picturesque retreat on the northern shores of Sagehen Reservoir. With its blend of shaded campsites beneath towering Ponderosa pines and partial views of the serene reservoir, this campground provides the ideal balance of privacy, natural splendor, and recreational opportunity. Visitors are drawn by its easy access to fishing, hiking trails, and peaceful canoeing amidst abundant wildlife.
The campground’s thoughtfully-designed sites include picnic tables, campfire rings, and access to vault toilets and hand-pumped drinking water. A dedicated group camping area accommodating up to 30 people enhances its appeal for family gatherings or group adventures. The adjoining boat ramp and a scenic 4-mile non-motorized Sagehen Reservoir Trail ensure memorable days of boating, hiking, and wildlife observation.
Located approximately 35 miles northeast of Ola, Idaho, Antelope Campground sits at an elevation of 5,031 feet, offering cool summer nights and daytime temperatures averaging 80-90°F. Beyond the reservoir, the surrounding forests and nearby Sage Hen and KYAOTT trail systems provide opportunities for mountain biking, horseback riding, and ATV exploration, making it an ideal base for both relaxation and adventure.
