Campground Overview

About Antlers Campground

Rising above the scenic Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake, Antlers Campground combines tranquil natural beauty with convenient access to outdoor adventures. Shaded by a canopy of oak, pine, and manzanita, this well-maintained campground features sites with privacy and, in some cases, views of the lake. Its proximity to the lake and Shasta-Trinity National Forest makes it ideal for water sports, hiking, and wildlife enthusiasts.

The campground offers 59 sites accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs, with paved parking spurs, picnic tables, fire rings, and food lockers. Amenities include potable water, flush toilets, and an amphitheater nearby. Though the bluff’s location provides a peaceful retreat, direct lake access can be challenging and requires a nearby boat ramp. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to stay alert for local wildlife, including bears, and to properly store food.

Located in Lakehead, California, Antlers Campground is just a short drive from I-5 and 30 minutes north of Redding, making it easily accessible for both stopovers and extended stays. With Shasta Lake’s 365 miles of shoreline and the expansive Shasta-Trinity National Forest at its doorstep, this campground offers an excellent base for a wide range of activities, from boating and fishing to mountain biking and stargazing.
