Backbone Horse Camp

Backbone Horse Campground, located within New York's Finger Lakes National Forest near Burdett, NY, offers a semi-primitive retreat that blends tranquility with rugged charm. The campground features 11 first-come-first-served sites, five of which are reserved for horse campers seasonally. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and three vault toilets, ensuring basic comforts while maintaining a rustic atmosphere. Horse campers will appreciate the tie posts, a central corral, and a nearby water source for livestock (non-potable).
