Located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, just 12 miles north of Carson, Washington, this campground appeals to anglers, nature enthusiasts, and recreational adventurers alike.
The campground features 24 individual campsites suitable for tents or RVs, as well as a group site accommodating up to 50 people. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, and clean vault toilets, with a playground, activity field, and horseshoe pit providing on-site entertainment for all ages. The Wind River offers opportunities for Chinook salmon and steelhead trout fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, while nearby hiking and biking trails immerse visitors in the scenic beauty of the surrounding wilderness.
A short drive brings visitors to the charming town of Carson, known for its hot springs, the Wind River Arboretum, and local dining options. The area is also ideal for berry picking in season or a visit to the Wind River Hatchery to view migrating Chinook salmon.
