About Beaver Creek Campground

What sets Beaver Creek Campground apart is its idyllic location along the northwest shores of Priest Lake, offering sweeping views of the Selkirk Mountains, direct lakefront access, and proximity to premier trails and water activities. This charming spot combines serene natural beauty with convenient amenities, making it an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

Situated within the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, this campground rests at an elevation of 2,500 feet and is shaded by towering hemlock and cedar trees. On-site amenities include 41 reservable campsites, potable water, picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. A sandy boat launch caters to those embarking on Priest Lake’s clear waters, perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing for trout. The nearby beach is ideal for swimming, while two adjacent trailheads—the 9-mile Navigation Trail to the north and the 8-mile Lakeshore Trail to the south—provide expansive mountain views and opportunities for hiking or horseback riding.

Located approximately 50 miles north of Priest River, Idaho, the campground offers easy access to the secluded Upper Priest Lake via the scenic Thorofare channel, a short 2.5-mile paddle that wildlife enthusiasts and birders will appreciate. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, an extended retreat, or simply seeking tranquility, Beaver Creek Campground delivers a memorable wilderness experience.
