Each campsite is equipped with essential amenities, including picnic tables, fire rings, and a hand-pumped well for seasonal drinking water. Vault toilets are available, and while there’s no garbage service or electricity, the natural setting more than compensates. Several sites, especially those near the creek, offer scenic views and quick access to the water. The nearby Miller Creek Trail (#087) provides a gateway to adventure, accommodating both hikers and motorcyclists.
Surrounded by dense pine forests and rugged terrain, Bowns Campground serves as an excellent base for day trips and extended stays to explore the region’s natural beauty. The town of Fairfield is only 30 minutes away, ensuring convenient access to supplies.
