About Bull River Campground
What sets Bull River Campground apart is its prime location at the confluence of Bull River and the Clark Fork River, offering campers immediate access to some of northwestern Montana's most pristine waterways. Surrounded by the lush Kootenai National Forest, visitors are treated to towering cedar and Douglas fir trees, while the nearby Cabinet Gorge Reservoir creates opportunities for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing.
This campground features 26 sites for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 40 feet, with two pull-through options. Each site is well-equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grates. For group events, the reservable pavilion is a standout feature, complete with picnic tables, grills, and electricity. Other amenities include a boat ramp and dock for water-based recreation, potable water, flush/vault toilets, and a playground, ensuring a comfortable stay for families, solo adventurers, and groups alike. Gravel surfaces and accessible facilities make this a welcoming destination for diverse needs.
Positioned just 6 miles northwest of Noxon along Highway 200, Bull River Campground is an excellent basecamp for exploring the Cabinet Gorge Reservoir, fishing for bass or trout, or touring the historic Noxon Rapids Dam, which lies less than 10 miles away. The nearby Kootenai National Forest’s 2.2 million acres provide endless hiking, biking, and birdwatching opportunities, while the surrounding forest guarantees tranquility and a strong sense of connection to nature.
