The campground features 14 primitive campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. While there are no water or electric hookups, a communal hand pump supplies non-potable water, and rustic vault toilets are available. The nearby 12.5-mile equestrian trail and an additional 20 miles of multi-use roads and trails make it a prime destination for hikers and horseback riders. Wildlife thrives here, including deer, wild turkeys, and various bird species, making it a great spot for nature lovers. Additionally, the adjacent boat ramp allows access to the lake for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
Situated just outside Lincolnton, the campground is an approximate 30-minute drive from Cherokee Recreation Area and other lakeside attractions. It’s perfectly suited for a weekend getaway or a longer stay focused on enjoying the quiet beauty of nature.
