Set within a sprawling 7,000-acre expanse just a short drive from Spartanburg, South Carolina, this campground features 50 sites across two loops, each equipped with water and electricity. The unique combination of accessible equestrian facilities, extensive multi-use trails, and tranquil lakes sets Croft apart as a haven for adventure and relaxation.
The campgrounds cater to both RV and tent campers, with shaded sites surrounded by a mix of pines and hardwoods. The first loop is conveniently located near the park office, playground, and equestrian facilities, while the second loop sits atop a hill with select sites offering modest lake views. All sites feature gravel pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. Highlights of the park include over 45 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, as well as two lakes—Lake Craig and Lake Edwin Johnson—perfect for fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. The Palmetto Trail, a long-distance hiking path, also traverses the park, adding to its appeal for trail enthusiasts.
