Campground Overview
About Crossroads Campground
What if your next camping trip combined riverside relaxation with unspoiled desert beauty? Crossroads Campground in Earp, California, defies expectations with its prime location along the Lower Colorado River, offering stunning water views, easy access to outdoor recreation, and the tranquility of a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) site.
This small, first-come, first-served campground features 15 dry campsites for tents and RVs, each equipped with a picnic table and grill. With no hookups or potable water, it caters to self-sufficient campers who can enjoy its vault toilet, nearby trash facilities, and the attentive presence of a host. Riverfront views and a beach area make it ideal for fishing, kayaking, and relaxing by the water, while off-road enthusiasts and nature lovers can explore nearby Copper Basin Dunes and Crossroads Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) areas. Wildlife sightings are common, from wild burros to an array of birds and small mammals.
Positioned just nine miles south of the Parker Dam, the campground benefits from its proximity to the scenic Parker Dam Road Backcountry Byway, which provides access to the Rock House Visitor Center and its year-round boat launch. Visitors can also marvel at the “world’s deepest dam” or venture into the unique, rocky landscapes enriched by wind-shaped dunes. With mild temperatures in winter and assured serenity, Crossroads Campground is a perfect retreat for weekend getaways, extended stays, or even day trips for water-based fun.
