About Cultus Corral Horse Camp

Isolated in the serene conifer forests of Oregon’s Deschutes National Forest, Cultus Corral Horse Camp is a haven for horse campers seeking an unspoiled wilderness experience. This equestrian-exclusive campground offers private sites equipped with corrals, direct access to scenic horseback trails, and proximity to the tranquil shores of Cultus Lake.

The campground is thoughtfully designed with ten equestrian campsites, each featuring 4-horse corrals or highline poles, a picnic table, and a fire pit. Vault toilets and a water pump for stock water enhance the convenience. Trails starting directly from the camp include the Winopee Tie Trail, offering access to Cultus Lake and stunning loops past other lakes and meadows. With relatively flat terrain ideal for horseback riding and abundant natural beauty, it’s an exceptional spot for extended trips.

Located just west of Mt. Bachelor, Cultus Corral lies near the Cascade Lakes Highway, about 45 minutes southwest of Bend. The area is renowned for its pristine lakes, endless forest trails, and unique opportunities for horseback adventures, making it a standout destination for equestrian enthusiasts.
