Day Campground, located within the iconic Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, defies expectations with its blend of rustic simplicity, serene forests, and proximity to world-class natural attractions.

The campground offers 88 rustic campsites, ideal for tents and small trailers, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. While there are no electrical hookups or showers, the availability of potable water and well-maintained vault toilets ensures basic comforts without compromising the back-to-nature experience. The tranquil atmosphere, enhanced by wooded surroundings, provides privacy and a true sense of escape. A short walk leads campers to a pristine Lake Michigan beach, perfect for swimming or sunset views, while the nearby Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail offers 20+ miles of biking and hiking through diverse landscapes.

Conveniently located just 1.5 miles from Glen Arbor, the campground also grants quick access to the area’s highlights, including the breathtaking Dune Climb, the historic village of Glen Haven, and the scenic Pierce Stocking Drive—all within a 10-minute drive.
