About Devil's Lake State Recreation Area
Imagine a campground where city convenience meets outdoor tranquility—Devil's Lake State Recreation Area, located in Lincoln City, Oregon, defies the typical secluded camping experience by placing you right in the heart of a vibrant coastal town. This unique urban setting provides a mix of full-hookup RV sites, tent sites, and rustic yurts, all just a short walk from the 685-acre Devil's Lake and a 10-minute stroll to the iconic D River State Recreation Site. Protected from coastal winds and surrounded by wetlands teeming with wildlife, the campground delivers both comfort and access to natural beauty.
The campground boasts 28 full-hookup sites with cable TV, five electrical sites with water, 54 tent sites, and 10 yurts, including pet-friendly options. Amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, picnic tables, and a hiker/biker camp, ensuring a comfortable stay. While none of the campsites have direct lake views or access, a hard-surface trail connects campers to the lake’s fishing dock and water activities like kayaking, boating, and fishing for rainbow trout, bass, and perch. The nearby East Devil’s Lake State Park offers a boat launch just a short drive away. Seasonal closures due to flooding occasionally affect certain areas, but the campground is open year-round for most activities.
Just minutes from downtown Lincoln City, Devil's Lake State Recreation Area serves as an excellent base for exploring local beaches, shops, and eateries. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, the campground provides a seamless blend of city accessibility and serene lakefront charm, making it ideal for families, solo adventurers, and nature lovers alike.
