About Donald MacDonald County Campground
Donald MacDonald Park Campground offers a tranquil riverside retreat with direct access to the Sebastian River, combining natural beauty and convenient amenities just minutes from Sebastian, Florida. This well-maintained county park features a mix of primitive and serviced sites nestled among lush native vegetation, providing campers with a genuine Florida outdoor experience.
The campground's 31 sites are thoughtfully arranged to maximize privacy, with dense undergrowth creating natural buffers between neighbors. Five RV sites offer water and electric hookups, while the remaining primitive sites cater to tent campers and smaller rigs seeking a more rustic stay. Clean restrooms with hot showers, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site ensure comfort without compromising the natural setting.
Located on the outskirts of Sebastian, the park serves as an ideal base for exploring the area's natural and cultural attractions. The on-site boat ramp and fishing dock make it easy for campers to enjoy the Sebastian River's abundant wildlife and fishing opportunities. Within a short drive, visitors can experience the pristine beaches of Sebastian Inlet State Park, observe manatees at Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, or dive into local history at the McLarty Treasure Museum.
