About Eagle Campground
Perched along the serene southern shore of Eagle Lake, Eagle Campground offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by a majestic stand of mature pines and firs. With its close proximity to the marina, diverse recreational opportunities, and stunning natural setting, this campground is an ideal destination for anglers, water enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike.
Eagle Campground features 48 campsites, including options for RVs, tents, and group camping. Its well-maintained facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings, water and electric hookups at select sites, and paved parking spurs. The area’s highlights include excellent fishing for the prized Eagle Lake Rainbow Trout, as well as boating, kayaking, and swimming on California’s third-largest natural lake. A paved 5.2-mile biking and hiking trail links the campground to numerous recreation spots, such as the Eagle Lake Marina, just a mile away, which offers boat rentals, a store, and other amenities.
Located 14 miles north of Susanville along County Road A-1, Eagle Campground sits amidst the diverse landscapes of Lassen National Forest, where the Sierra Nevada meets the Cascades and the Great Basin. Nearby attractions include the scenic Osprey Overlook and miles of trails for hiking and biking, offering countless ways to connect with this unique and serene environment.
