Campground Overview
About Eagle Ridge County Park
Perched on the rugged hills of the Eagle Ridge Peninsula, Eagle Ridge County Park Campground offers a tranquil retreat along the serene shores of Upper Klamath Lake and Shoalwater Bay. This compact campground offers six primitive tent sites, where the seclusion and natural beauty of 634 acres of hilly pine forest and grassland create an ideal backdrop for those seeking an off-the-grid camping experience. With no potable water or electricity, the campground emphasizes simplicity and connection to nature while providing basic amenities like a boat ramp, picnic areas, and clean vault toilets.
Located 15 miles west of Klamath Falls and accessed via four miles of gravel road, the campground is ideal for anglers and birdwatchers. Upper Klamath Lake offers excellent fishing opportunities, while the area’s diverse birdlife, including grebes, pelicans, and warblers, makes it a hotspot on the Oregon Cascades Birding Trail. For a deeper sense of adventure and isolation, visitors can explore the additional campsites at Eagle Point, reachable via a narrow dirt road. This destination is perfect for weekend getaways or extended stays for those who value solitude and unblemished natural landscapes.
