Campground Overview
About East Twin Lake Campground
What sets East Twin Lake Campground apart is its peaceful ambiance, created by its location within a maple, birch, and hemlock forest where many campsites offer serene views of the 110-acre East Twin Lake. This intimate campground perfectly balances lakeside relaxation and outdoor adventure, offering opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating alongside miles of nearby trails for hiking and mountain biking.
With only 10 campsites, including two walk-in options for added seclusion, this campground provides a personal, nature-focused experience. Each site is equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads, and the campground includes amenities like accessible vault toilets, drinking water, a fishing pier, and a boat ramp. Wildlife enthusiasts are sure to enjoy spotting elk, loons, eagles, and other species inhabiting the surrounding Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
Located just north of Clam Lake, Wisconsin, the campground is within a short drive of the Dead Horse Run trailhead and other trails that meander through the forest. Its proximity to a rookery for blue herons and access to both East and West Twin lakes add to its natural appeal, making East Twin Lake Campground an excellent choice for weekend getaways or nature-immersive vacations.
