About Emery Bay Campground
Perched along the scenic east shore of Hungry Horse Reservoir, Emery Bay Campground in Martin City, Montana, offers an ideal escape into the Rocky Mountains, combining serene waterfront views, towering peaks, and excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation. This campground stands out with its tranquility, access to recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and hiking, and its proximity to Glacier National Park, just 15 miles away.
Emery Bay Campground features 26 campsites, including tent and RV spaces, as well as two group sites accommodating up to 75 people each. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings with grills, vault toilets, and potable water (available after mid-June). A concrete boat ramp provides easy access to the expansive 27,750-acre Hungry Horse Reservoir, renowned for its cutthroat trout fishing. The reservoir’s calm waters are perfect for swimming and kayaking, while nearby trails offer wonderful hiking and wildlife viewing.
Situated six miles south of Martin City via the East Side Reservoir Road, Emery Bay places visitors within a 30-minute drive of the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park, where world-famous wilderness awaits.
