This first-come, first-served campground offers 18 secluded sites with ample privacy, enhanced by the dense tree coverage that keeps the area cooler than much of the surrounding landscape. Each site is equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, and combination fire ring/grill, accommodating both tents and smaller camping trailers.
Situated just six miles east of Paonia via Kebler Pass Road, Erickson Springs provides easy access to the breathtaking Raggeds Wilderness. The nearby Dark Canyon Trailhead connects directly to stunning hiking trails, including Dark Canyon Trail #830, which leads deeper into the wilderness. Anthracite Creek, flowing alongside the campground, offers exceptional fishing opportunities for rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout enthusiasts. Off-road vehicle users can also enjoy the Munsey Creek Road for additional outdoor adventure.
