This 1960s-era campground features distinctive amenities including private river access, shaded picnic areas, and full-service RV sites, making it a desirable choice for both short stopovers and extended stays.
The campground boasts 31 RV sites, including pull-through and riverfront options, all equipped with full hookups, as well as several tent camping spots with water and electricity. Campers enjoy 24-hour access to clean laundry and restroom facilities, and each site is furnished with a picnic table for outdoor meals. Highlights include two private boat launches and a guest-exclusive dock, perfect for water recreation like boating, fishing, and kayaking. Fender's also features group areas with communal fire pits and charcoal grills for social gatherings. The campground allows pets and even has a dog-friendly beach area.
Located just off Interstate 40, Fender’s is only minutes from dining at historic Route 66 establishments and local attractions like the Needles Regional Museum (2 miles) and Jack Smith Memorial Park (3 miles). It’s also a convenient base for exploring nearby landmarks, such as the revived mining town of Oatman, Arizona, with its wild burros and Route 66 history, approximately 30 minutes away.
