Facilities are modern and well-maintained, including hot showers, restrooms, and a communal dump station. However, the campground is largely open, with minimal tree cover due to hurricane damage—a factor to consider for those seeking shade or privacy.

A key draw is the park’s guided cave tours, showcasing stunning geological formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the multiuse trails, which pass through karst landscapes, floodplains, and sinkholes, as well as opportunities for paddling, geocaching, and wildlife observation along the Chipola River. For swimming, the nearby Blue Hole spring offers crystal-clear water ideal for cooling off on hot days.
