Boldly positioned along the shores of Admiralty Bay, Fort Casey Historical State Park Campground offers a rare blend of historical intrigue, scenic marine views, and practical amenities for a rewarding camping experience. The campground boasts 35 campsites, including 14 with partial water and electricity hookups, some of which are beachside with exceptional views of Puget Sound and passing ferries. Visitors will find flush toilets, coin-operated showers, and potable water on-site, alongside picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Those interested in history can explore the nearby Admiralty Head Lighthouse and the fort’s bunkers and batteries, while outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy beachcombing, kite flying, hiking, and birdwatching. The nearby ferry terminal also offers easy access to Port Townsend for a memorable day trip.
Situated three miles from Coupeville on Whidbey Island, the park is part of the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve, providing access to surrounding trails and charming towns within a short drive.
