About Foster Bar Campground
Set amidst the striking beauty of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, Foster Bar Campground offers a serene retreat featuring eight intimate campsites adjacent to the iconic Wild and Scenic Rogue River. Ideal for anglers and rafting enthusiasts, the campground’s proximity to a renowned take-out boat ramp and extraordinary fishing opportunities sets it apart. With its scenic meadow backdrop and historical significance as the site of the final battle in the Rogue River Indian Wars, it’s both a recreational haven and a cultural landmark.
This peaceful campground, located just seven miles from Agness and roughly 28 miles northeast of Gold Beach, provides essential amenities such as drinking water, picnic tables, fire pits, and flushing toilets. It welcomes both tents and small RVs (up to 25 feet in length). Nature lovers can also explore the nearby Lower Rogue River Trail #1168 for hiking and fishing access. Foster Bar is an excellent choice for a tranquil weekend getaway or a convenient stopover for adventurers traveling through the area.
