Located within the Tom Mays Unit of Franklin Mountains State Park, just a 15-minute drive from El Paso, the campground features 14 walk-in tent sites and 5 back-in RV spots. These sites are deliberately primitive, with no water or electricity, ensuring minimal distractions from the surrounding natural setting. Each site is outfitted with a picnic table and fire ring, although no ground fires are allowed; visitors are encouraged to bring ample water and supplies. The area’s sculpted cliffs, sprawling desert landscapes, and diverse wildlife, including mule deer and golden eagles, immerse campers in nature’s tranquility.
