Grand Island National Recreation Area

Campers must strictly adhere to the pack-in/pack-out principle, as no services or supplies are provided on the island. The island hosts over 30 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking and provides direct access to pristine beaches and inland lakes, perfect for kayaking, fishing, and swimming in Lake Superior's chilly waters.
