Campground Overview

About Gull Lake Campground

What sets Gull Lake Campground apart is its serene lakeside setting, enhanced by the privacy provided by thick vegetation between sites, the convenience of lakeside access, and proximity to the charming town of June Lake. Located along the southern shore of Gull Lake in California's Eastern Sierra at an elevation of 7,600 feet, this intimate campground features just 11 campsites, with several offering waterfront views and direct access to the lake.

The campground caters to tents, trailers, and RVs (up to 30 feet) and provides essential amenities like drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. It also offers bear-proof storage lockers for food safety. Campers can fish right on Gull Lake, enjoy paddling, or access hiking trails leading to the scenic Ansel Adams Wilderness. A small paddle boat ramp is available on-site, while a larger motorboat ramp is just a quarter-mile away. Wildlife sightings are common, and the campground's setting amidst mature aspens and rugged peaks creates a peaceful and picturesque retreat.

Situated just a mile from June Lake Village, visitors can easily explore local shops and restaurants. The June Lake Loop nearby offers stunning alpine vistas and connects several other lakes for fishing, boating, and hiking. This spot is ideal for weekend getaways, day trips, or relaxed extended stays, offering natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and quiet seclusion.
