About Headwaters Campground & RV Park
Isolated between two iconic national parks, Headwaters Campground & RV Park at Flagg Ranch offers a rare blend of convenience and rugged beauty. Located in the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway, just minutes from the entrances of both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, this campground provides an exceptional basecamp for exploring some of America’s most breathtaking landscapes.
The campground features 34 tent sites, 97 full-hookup RV sites, and 40 camper cabins, offering a wide range of accommodations for travelers. Each site is equipped with picnic tables and fire pits, complemented by modern amenities such as flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Though the cabins do not include electricity or private restrooms, they add to the rustic charm with bunk beds and lantern lighting. A lodge on-site includes a restaurant, saloon, camp store, and gift shop, allowing campers to refuel or pick up supplies before heading into the wilderness.
Recreational opportunities abound nearby, with access to hiking trails, Polecat Creek, and the Snake River for fishing, kayaking, or wildlife spotting. The serene wooded setting provides a scenic backdrop where visitors are likely to encounter moose, elk, or even bears. For day trips, the campground is perfectly positioned to explore Yellowstone’s geothermal wonders or the dramatic peaks and trails of Grand Teton, all within a short drive.
