High Cliff State Park

Perched atop the limestone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, High Cliff State Park Campground offers breathtaking views of Lake Winnebago, tranquil wooded campsites, and diverse outdoor activities that cater to both solitude seekers and adventure enthusiasts. The campground features 112 family campsites, including 32 with electric hookups, and eight group sites suitable for larger gatherings. Amenities such as a seasonal shower building, flush and vault toilets, picnic areas, and a sanitary dump station ensure convenience without sacrificing the outdoor experience. An ADA-accessible cabin is also available seasonally, providing a rustic yet comfortable option for those requiring additional accommodations.

Located about 10 minutes from the small community of Sherwood, High Cliff State Park is just a short drive from Appleton and Oshkosh. The park provides direct access to Lake Winnebago for swimming, fishing, and boating, with boat launches and a marina onsite. Visitors can also explore the park's unique historical features, such as effigy mounds and the remnants of a limestone village, adding a fascinating cultural dimension to the natural setting.
