Campground Overview
About Hobbs State-Conservation Area
What sets the Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area campground apart is its tranquil wilderness atmosphere, immersive trails, and views of Beaver Lake, offering an authentic escape into Arkansas' largest state park. With 11 primitive campsites, the campground caters to adventurers seeking solitude and rugged experiences, as all sites are accessible only by hiking or mountain biking along the Pigeon Roost Trail or the Monument Trail's Karst Loop.
The primitive campsites are thoughtfully equipped with essentials like gravel tent pads, fire rings, lantern poles, and hammock stands (hammock use restricted to metal fixtures). The Pigeon Roost campsites, located within a four-mile hike, provide opportunities to enjoy nearby lake views, particularly during winter. The Karst Loop sites require an eight-mile hike or bike ride, rewarding visitors with serene forest settings. While facilities are minimal—no water, electricity, or showers—this allows for an immersive natural experience. All waste must be packed out, aligning with the park’s conservation principles.
Situated 12 miles east of Rogers, Arkansas, Hobbs State Park spans over 12,000 acres of Ozark woodlands and features 54 miles of multi-use trails. Visitors can explore diverse ecosystems with limestone bluffs, sinkholes, and blooming wildflowers in spring. Nearby Beaver Lake provides opportunities for paddling, fishing, and birdwatching, while the nearby War Eagle Mill adds a cultural touch with its historic charm and creekside recreation. This campground is a perfect base for backpacking, weekend hiking excursions, or extended adventures in the Ozarks.
