Located approximately six miles southeast of Mineral, California, in Lassen National Forest, the campground provides essential amenities like vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and hand-pump well water. Many sites are within 100 feet of Mill Creek, with some just steps away, offering easy access for fishing or simply enjoying the natural setting. Adventurers can explore unofficial, rustic trails leading from the campground, including pathways to a local swimming hole known as Jasper Mines or trails along rocky creek areas.
Conveniently positioned about 15 miles south of Lassen Volcanic National Park, the campground is an excellent base for visiting the park's geothermal wonders and hiking trails.
