Towering pines and crisp mountain air greet visitors at Jackson Flat Group Campground, an elevated retreat offering panoramic vistas, secluded group sites, and direct access to the Pacific Crest Trail. This tent-only facility features five spacious group areas nestled among pine and fir trees at 7,500 feet, each equipped with bear-proof food lockers, large picnic tables, and fire rings. The campground's location along the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway provides a serene basecamp for exploring the rugged San Gabriel Mountains.

Just 8 miles west of Wrightwood, Jackson Flat serves as a gateway to high-country adventure in the Angeles National Forest. Hikers can connect directly to the iconic Pacific Crest Trail from the campground, while nearby trails lead to Jackson Lake for fishing and scenic views. The adjacent Grassy Hollow Visitor Center offers nature programs and interpretive trails, enhancing the area's recreational appeal for extended summer getaways focused on outdoor exploration and group bonding in a pristine alpine setting.
