Campground Overview
About Kettle Falls Locust Grove Group Site Campground
Perched near the historic townsite of Old Kettle Falls, the Locust Grove Group Site combines a tranquil lakeside setting with rich cultural history and convenient access to outdoor recreation. Just a quarter mile from the main Kettle Falls Campground and its bustling multi-lane boat launch, this group-oriented facility offers a private retreat amid a grove of locust trees overlooking the striking expanse of Lake Roosevelt.
This campground is designed for group gatherings, accommodating up to 75 people and 35 vehicles at its larger site. While rustic in amenities—providing picnic tables, fire pits, and access to flush toilets seasonally—it compensates with direct proximity to some of the region’s best fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The sites are non-electric, though Site A includes an outlet for limited use, and potable water is available during warmer months. Within a short drive, visitors can explore the St. Paul’s Mission and Fort Colville, landmarks that showcase the area’s deep Native American and fur trade history.
Situated within the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, this campground lies about 10 minutes from the town of Kettle Falls, offering convenient proximity to groceries and supplies. It’s an ideal base for group-centric activities, day trips to nearby cultural sites, and water-based adventures on the 130-mile-long Lake Roosevelt.
