About Keuka Lake State Park
Perched on the northwestern shores of Keuka Lake, Keuka Lake State Park Campground defies expectations with its tranquil setting amidst vineyard-draped hills, offering easy lake access and a gateway to the Finger Lakes wine country. Combining well-maintained campsites, access to water-based recreation, and proximity to regional attractions, it’s a versatile destination for nature enthusiasts and wine aficionados alike.
This campground features 150 campsites across three loops (Deer Park, Twin Fawns, Esperanza View), with 53 sites offering electric hookups. The campsites, a mix of grassy and shaded areas, ensure a balance of privacy and community, with many sites separated by trees or shrubs. Amenities include clean restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, picnic tables, fire rings, and accessible water spigots. Families will appreciate the on-site playground, while nature lovers can enjoy hiking trails that showcase the area’s lush scenery. Though no sites are directly on the waterfront, a nearby boat launch and small swimming beach make it easy to enjoy the lake for fishing, kayaking, or swimming.
Located a short drive from Penn Yan, the campground is ideally positioned to explore Keuka Lake’s calm waters and neighboring attractions, including the renowned Keuka and Seneca Lake Wine Trails. The quiet atmosphere after sunset and the park’s picturesque surroundings make it a prime spot for weekend getaways, longer vacations, or simple day trips filled with outdoor exploration.
