Laguna Seca Recreation Area

Perched on the rolling hills of Monterey County, the Laguna Seca Recreation Area Campground distinguishes itself with its unique proximity to the famed WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, creating a rare blend of outdoor adventure and motorsport excitement. Offering sweeping views of the Salinas Valley and easy access to hiking trails within the Fort Ord National Monument, this campground attracts both nature enthusiasts and car racing fans.

The campground features 172 total sites accommodating tents and RVs, with 102 of them equipped with electric and water hookups. Amenities include clean restrooms, showers, picnic tables, fire rings, and a dump station. While the water is non-potable, the site provides a basic yet functional camping experience. Beyond the tranquil atmosphere, campers can enjoy recreational activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and exploring the nearby Salinas Valley wine country. Visitors should note that the area can get lively during race events at the track.
