The campground features 67 RV and tent sites, many equipped with water and 20/30/50-amp electric hookups, as well as seven lakefront cabins with modern amenities such as air conditioning and fully stocked kitchens. Unique wooden platforms at some campsites add a touch of practicality and charm by providing level surfaces for tents or lounging. Guests can enjoy direct lake access for fishing, canoeing, or kayaking, with boat rentals available for exploring the lake’s islands. On land, over 10 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails weave through the park's lush woodlands. Additional amenities include clean restrooms, a dump station, picnic areas, and two swimming pools near the day-use and group sites.

Situated just 30 minutes southeast of Shreveport and Bossier City, the park immerses visitors in a landscape steeped in history and biodiversity. Originally formed by a logjam centuries ago, Lake Bistineau is now a thriving ecosystem perfect for observing wildlife or casting for trophy-sized bass and crappie.
