About Little Cottonwood Campground
The Little Cottonwood Campground, located near Beaver, Utah, offers a serene riverside camping experience enhanced by lush forest surroundings and convenient access to outdoor adventures. Positioned at an elevation of 6,500 feet in the Fishlake National Forest, the campground features paved sites with picnic tables and fire pits, nestled among a mix of cottonwood, juniper, and pine trees, providing excellent shade and privacy.
This small campground includes 14 single-family sites, two of which are ADA-accessible, and amenities such as potable water and flush toilets. Campers can enjoy fishing along the Beaver River, with an accessible fishing path within the campground, or explore nearby hiking trails like the rugged Cottonwood Trail. While RVs up to 40 feet are accommodated, there are no hookups, and the campground operates as a “pack-it-in, pack-it-out” facility. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate frequent wildlife sightings, from elk and deer to black bears and mountain goats.
Located just 6 miles east of Beaver on UT-153, the campground is a convenient base for day trips to the Fishlake National Forest’s backcountry or to explore the charming nearby town.
