Lockett Meadow Campground

Lockett Meadow Campground, located within the Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff, Arizona, offers a remote and breathtaking escape into the San Francisco Peaks. This rustic, first-come, first-served campground is renowned for its vibrant fall foliage, tranquil setting amidst aspen and pine trees, and its proximity to the Inner Basin Trail, a gateway to the heart of an ancient volcanic caldera. The nearby Inner Basin Trail offers access to stunning volcanic features, wildflowers in spring and summer, and wildlife sightings, including elk and black bears. The narrow, steep dirt road leading to the campground, though not recommended for large RVs or trailers, adds to the sense of seclusion.
