Campground Overview
About Logan State Park
Set along the tranquil shores of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan State Park Campground combines the allure of water-based recreation with the serenity of a forested haven. This well-appointed campground offers lake access, spacious campsites with modern amenities, and a picturesque natural setting enveloped by towering western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine trees.
Campers can enjoy 37 developed sites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, and many large enough to accommodate trailers and RVs up to 40 feet. Amenities include flush toilets, heated showers, potable water, and a dump station for added convenience. The park’s standout feature is its water access, complete with a swimming area, a fully developed boat ramp, and docks, making it perfect for fishing, boating, water-skiing, or simply relaxing by the lake. Meanwhile, picnic spots and day-use areas provide additional spaces to unwind.
Located just 45 miles west of Kalispell along U.S. Highway 2, Logan State Park is surrounded by the Thompson Chain of Lakes, offering abundant outdoor activities in a secluded, peaceful environment. While campers can savor the quiet and natural beauty, the close proximity to hiking trails and water recreation within the park creates an ideal setting for weekend getaways, family trips, or extended vacations amidst Montana’s wilderness.
