About Lower Billy Creek Campground

Lower Billy Creek Campground offers a serene lakeside camping experience on the shores of Huntington Lake, where every site boasts picturesque views and proximity to water-based recreation, making it an ideal choice for nature-loving campers. With just ten sites, including a few waterfront options, the campground provides a quiet, intimate atmosphere surrounded by the towering pines of the Sierra National Forest.

This campground features amenities designed with camper comfort in mind, such as paved parking pads, picnic tables, fire rings, food storage lockers, and access to drinking water. Vault toilets are also available. Its location near Huntington Lake ensures easy access to a wide range of activities, including fishing, sailing, swimming, and kayaking, while nearby trails offer opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. The adjacent Billy Creek Guard Station Museum provides a glimpse into the area's rich history and cultural heritage.

Set at an elevation of 7,010 feet, the campground lies approximately 30 minutes from Shaver Lake and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
