About Malden Lake Campground
How does a tranquil lakeside retreat surrounded by serene pine forests sound for your next camping getaway? Malden Lake Campground, perched along the expansive shores of Wright Patman Lake in northeast Texas, pairs natural beauty with comfort, offering an appealing escape for outdoor enthusiasts. Its defining features include lakefront views, plentiful shade provided by thick pine woods, and easy access to one of the region's premier recreational lakes.
This campground boasts 39 level campsites, each equipped with water, electricity, a picnic table, grill, and other essential amenities. Ten sites offer 50-amp service, ideal for larger RVs, while a well-maintained dump station adds convenience for RV campers. A small walking trail, located behind the H Loop, meanders through the woods, inviting campers to immerse in the natural setting. The park’s boat ramp and courtesy dock make it a hub for fishing and boating, with anglers drawn to species like bass, catfish, and crappie. The 30,000-acre Wright Patman Lake serves as a haven for swimming, wildlife viewing, and hiking, surrounded by 55,000 acres of piney forest teeming with deer, turkeys, and seasonal waterfowl.
