Campground Overview

About Meadows ORV Campground

Located in the Huron-Manistee National Forest, the Meadows ORV Campground is a compact retreat tailored for off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts. With direct access to the Meadows ORV Trail System, this campground offers a seamless blend of rugged adventure and outdoor serenity, surrounded by dense pine and hardwood forest. Its isolation from nearby lights also makes it a prime spot for stargazing.

The campground features 13 individual, first-come, first-served sites that can accommodate tents or RVs and trailers up to 25 feet in length. Each campsite includes a picnic table, a fire ring, and a lantern post, complemented by essentials such as vault toilets, a hand-pump for drinking water, and trash collection facilities. While the focus is on ORV access, its quiet setting also provides a peaceful escape for those seeking to enjoy nature.

Conveniently positioned just south of Grayling, Michigan, the campground sits near notable attractions like the Au Sable River and Hartwick Pines State Park, both within a 30-minute drive. With its location along the Meadows Trail, a system designed for vehicles under 50 inches wide and connected to the Mack Lake Trail System and Bull Gap Hill Climb, it’s an ideal base for ORV riders, weekend getaways, or extended stays immersed in Michigan's wilderness.
