About Mink Creek Group Campground

Mink Creek Group Campground, located a mere 12 miles south of Pocatello, Idaho, defies typical camping expectations with its blend of accessibility and rich natural appeal. This group site accommodates up to 200 people, making it a prime destination for large gatherings, from family reunions to outdoor weddings. With its expansive picnic pavilion, various multi-use trails, and a tranquil setting bordered by ponderosa pines and aspens, the campground offers an inviting mix of functionality and scenic beauty.

The campground is equipped with a 40x80-foot picnic pavilion, large paved parking, 12 picnic tables, a fire ring, vault toilets, potable water, and limited electrical hookups, ensuring a comfortable group camping experience. Several trails, such as the West Fork Mink Creek Trail, originate just outside the site, catering to hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. Nearby, the Cherry Springs Nature Area provides fishing spots, self-guided nature trails, and additional picnic areas, while the Mink Creek Nordic Center transforms from a hiking and riding venue in summer to a hub for cross-country skiing in winter.

Situated in the scenic Bannock Mountain Range, Mink Creek Group Campground serves as an excellent base for day trips or weekend escapes.
