Set approximately 2 miles from the small town of Los Osos and 15 miles from San Luis Obispo, Islay Creek Campground features 47 primitive campsites suitable for tents and RVs up to 27 feet in length. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and nearby access to potable water and vault toilets, but showers and electric hookups are notably absent. The campground’s close access to Spooner’s Cove, a picturesque beach ideal for tide pooling and relaxing, as well as trails like the iconic Bluff Trail, enhances its appeal for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Montaña de Oro State Park spans over 8,000 acres, showcasing attractions like the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak and seven miles of spectacular coastline.
