Moundville Archaeological Park

The park also mandates quiet hours and enforces limited site capacity to preserve a peaceful environment for all campers.

Beyond the campground, visitors can explore the 326-acre archaeological park, home to 29 flat-topped mounds arrayed around a vast central plaza, the Jones Archaeological Museum with immersive exhibits, and the nature trail winding through old-growth hardwood forests.
