Campground Overview
About North Campground
North Campground offers a front-row seat to Bryce Canyon's iconic hoodoo-studded landscape, blending convenient access with a serene natural setting. This year-round campground provides a prime basecamp for exploring the park's otherworldly rock formations and expansive vistas. Tall ponderosa pines provide ample shade and a sense of seclusion at most sites, while the lack of hookups maintains a rustic atmosphere.
Located just past the park entrance and visitor center, North Campground puts campers within easy walking distance of the Rim Trail and stunning viewpoints like Sunrise Point. The campground's central location allows quick access to the park's shuttle system, general store, and main amphitheater area. Despite its proximity to park amenities, the campground retains a peaceful ambiance, especially in the more secluded tent-only loops.
Bryce Canyon City, with its handful of restaurants and shops, lies just 3 miles north. The campground serves as an ideal base for day hikes along the Queen's Garden and Navajo Loop trails, or for capturing the park's famous sunrises and sunsets. Clear night skies offer exceptional stargazing opportunities, while the high elevation provides a cool respite from summer heat.
