Campground Overview

About North Klondike Campground

With its rugged desert backdrop and direct access to some of Moab’s most iconic mountain biking trails, North Klondike Campground is a prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and solitude. This Bureau of Land Management (BLM) campground offers unbeatable proximity to the Klondike Bluffs Trail System, a network boasting over 50 miles of singletrack trails ranging from beginner-friendly routes to technical challenges. Guests are treated to sweeping views of the La Sal Mountains, Copper Ridge, and sandstone bluffs, enhancing the appeal of every evening under the stars.

The campground features 25 individual sites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, along with vault toilets for convenience. However, it is essential to plan ahead, as there is no drinking water or electricity on-site. The area operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests will need to pack out their trash to maintain the pristine surroundings. Unique to the campground are two reservable group sites that include additional amenities like BBQ grills and shade structures, ideal for gatherings.

Located just north of Moab and within a 30-minute drive of renowned attractions like Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the campground offers easy access not only to biking trails but also to hiking, off-roading, and exploration of nearby dinosaur track sites. This remote yet strategically positioned camping option is best suited for weekend getaways, extended vacations, or as a base for exploring Utah’s red rock country, providing both recreation and breathtaking scenery.
