Campground Overview
About Olympic Adventure Campground
Just north of Forks, Olympic Adventure Campground settles into a stand of towering, moss-draped evergreens that feel plucked straight from the heart of the peninsula. Spacious back-in sites and a few pull-throughs are leveled and well-kept, with enough room for big rigs yet still wrapped in green. Most of the toilets are portable units spread throughout the campground, complemented by token-operated showers, and water hookups are sometimes shared between neighbors. The quirky little gift shop is worth a browse on its own.
The canopy here is spectacular, filtering light, muffling sound, and wrapping you in deep forest ambience, but it makes Starlink reception challenging for remote-work setups. You are minutes from town for easy resupply, though there is no safe walking route, and within a half-hour’s drive of the Hoh Rain Forest, Rialto and Ruby Beaches, Sol Duc hot springs, and the Calawah and Bogachiel rivers. Highway 101 hums in the background, but for campers seeking a well-situated full-hookup base on Olympic National Park’s western side, this is one of the best options around.
Whatever you do, skip site 25: its sewer line moonlights as the campground dump station, so you’ll spend the day hosting a parade of RVs rolling up to empty their tanks right at your doorstep.
