About Ozark Campground

Towering limestone bluffs and the gentle flow of the Buffalo River create a serene backdrop at Ozark Campground, where primitive sites blend seamlessly with the untamed beauty of Arkansas' Ozark Mountains.

This first-come, first-served campground offers 31 spacious sites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table, perfect for those seeking a rustic camping experience. The absence of electrical hookups and the campground's location at the end of a gravel road ensure a true escape into nature. Flush toilets and potable water (available seasonally) provide basic comforts without compromising the wilderness feel.

Situated just 15 miles south of Harrison, Ozark Campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the Buffalo National River. The campground's proximity to the river allows for easy access to swimming, fishing, and paddling opportunities. Hikers will appreciate the trailhead for the Buffalo River Trail located within the campground, offering miles of scenic hiking through the Ozark landscape.

The campground's natural setting attracts wildlife enthusiasts and stargazers alike. The lack of light pollution provides excellent conditions for night sky viewing, while the surrounding forests are home to diverse flora and fauna. For those interested in local culture, the historic town of Jasper, known for its charming Ozark atmosphere, is just a short drive away.
