About Pacific Beach State Park
Imagine waking up to the sound of crashing waves and stepping out of your tent or RV onto a wide, sandy beach—this is the essence of Pacific Beach State Park in Washington. This 17-acre coastal gem is a rare find, offering 64 campsites, including 42 with electrical hookups, and two yurts, all just steps from the Pacific Ocean. With its stunning ocean views, easy beach access, and invigorating sea breeze, this campground delivers an exceptional seaside camping experience.
Campsites are arranged on open, grassy terrain with minimal shade and privacy, ensuring unobstructed views of the ocean for many sites. Twenty-six sites are directly waterfront. While the park lacks water and sewer hookups at individual sites, it provides a potable water station, a dump station, hot showers, and modern restrooms. Campfires are not permitted in the campground but are allowed on the beach, creating unforgettable moments under the starry sky.
Located adjacent to the quiet town of Pacific Beach, the park is surrounded by opportunities for beachcombing, kite flying, clamming, and surf fishing. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot bald eagles, shorebirds, and occasionally whales in the surf. For those looking to explore further, Joe Creek and the scenic beach walk toward Moclips provide additional coastal adventures, all within minutes of the campground.
